Copyright © 1997-2002 Garda Síochána Historical Society PoliceHistory.com Garda Postage Stamps The Irish postal service "AN POST" issued two Garda Síochána postage stamps this year to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the Garda Síochána. The first was issued on February 18th together with 3 other stamps that marked the 75th anniversary of the Government, Defence Forces, and Judiciary. A scanned image of the 75th Anniversary First Day Cover set that was issued on 18 February 1997 is produced hereunder by kind permission of AN POST. A second 75th Anniversary Garda stamp was issued on December 6th.
